Our Story

Rooted in Family. Built for the Future.

What began as a local effort to provide religious education has grown into an initiative focused on both academic and spiritual development.

I

A vision for education

Amina School began with a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.

The initiative started with Fayyaz Ahmad and continued growing with the support of his son Waqas, and his two grandsons Hamza and Musa in 2024, when they established a school in their local village of Ferozwala, Gujranwala, Pakistan.

What began as a personal commitment to his village eventually became a family initiative with a mission that would reach beyond generations.

II

Building a foundation through faith

Alongside the school, Fayyaz Ahmad started a Sunday school for children — a place to learn the Quran, study Islamic history, and develop a stronger understanding of their faith.

Waqas Ahmad played an important role in supporting the school, helping lead its daily operations and ensuring students had a consistent place to learn.

Together they created an educational environment centered on knowledge, faith, and community.

III

A name that carries a legacy

The school was named Amina School in honor of Amina, the mother of Fayyaz Ahmad — a way to honor her and carry her name through future generations.

Today the name stands for a family's commitment to education and the belief that knowledge can create lasting opportunities.

IV

Expanding the mission across generations

As the school grew, Fayyaz Ahmad's grandsons, Hamza Safdar and Musa Goraya, saw a way to widen the doors it had opened.

Hamza and Musa came to the village growing up in the summers, and they always wanted to help the children there. The moment they heard that they might get the chance to work beside their grandpa to build a school for the students of the village, they took it — and began teaching them English and reading.

Recognizing that English literacy opens doors to further education, they helped establish a program focused on reading ability, vocabulary, and confidence.

From the United States they began teaching students in Pakistan online — weekly calls of about an hour, expanding to three one-hour sessions a week during the summer.

Continuing the Legacy

The purpose has not changed

Today, Amina School continues to build on the vision that Fayyaz Ahmad started in Ferozwala. With five dedicated teachers, the school provides children with opportunities to study the Quran, learn Islamic history, and develop their English reading skills.

Although the initiative has expanded, its purpose remains the same: to make education accessible to children in the local community and help create a brighter future for the next generation.

“Amina School is more than a school. It is a family legacy built on faith, education, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn.”
